WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THURSDAY...

For the counties of...
Saline and McPherson

Including the cities of Salina, Brookville, Gypsum, New Cambria, 
Lindsborg, Inman, Moundridge and McPherson

* Winds...West and northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45
  mph.

* Timing...through Thursday.

* Impacts...Any unsecured outdoor items, such as patio furniture,
  are likely to be blown around. High profile vehicles will have
  difficulty being driven. Use extra caution. Some minor
  structural damage to out buildings is also possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds from 30 to 40 mph and
or gusts from 46 to 57 mph are likely. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.

Russell-Lincoln-Barton-Ellsworth-Rice

Including the cities of Russell, Lincoln, Sylvan Grove,
Great Bend, Hoisington, Ellsworth, Wilson, Lyons and Sterling

* Winds...West and northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50
  mph.

* Timing...through Thursday.

* Impacts...Any unsecured outdoor items, such as patio
  furniture, are likely to be blown around. High profile
  vehicles will have difficulty being driven on north/south
  oriented roads and highways. Use extra caution. Some minor
  structural damage to out buildings is also possible.

Cloud-Clay-Ottawa-Dickinson

Including the cities of Concordia, Clay Center, Minneapolis,
Bennington, Tescott, Abilene, Herington, Solomon and Chapman

* WINDS...Southwest to west winds will be sustained at 20 to 30
  MPH with gusts to around 45 MPH.

* IMPACTS...Driving may be hazardous especially for those
  traveling in high profile vehicles on north to south roads in
  particular. Smaller loose items may be blown around.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds from 30 to 39 mph
and/or gusts from 45 to 57 mph are likely. Steps should be taken
to secure any lawn furniture or light weight objects and use
extra caution when driving.
