Winter Weather Coming to Kansas Wednesday

Accumulating snow possible tomorrow afternoon through Thursday morning, mainly west of the Kansas turnpike. Four to six inches of snow for portions of the area. Expect hazardous travel.

A rain/snow mix will transition to all snow tomorrow afternoon and evening across central and south central Kansas while mostly rain is expected across southeast Kansas. Accumulating snow expected west of the Kansas turnpike.

Wednesday – A chance of rain and snow before 1 p.m., then a chance of rain between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow after 3 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. North wind 9 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
