Windy Conditions Expected Over the Next Few Days, Showers and Thunderstorms Possible Monday

Windy conditions will be expected over the next few days with Sunday being the windiest day. Fire danger will also be high today and very high Sunday. Outdoor burning should be avoided due to these conditions. Monday will continued windy but showers and thunderstorms will become possible in the late afternoon and evening. Temperatures will fall overnight Monday.

A very windy day is expected for Sunday with wind gusts up to 45 mph possible in areas of Central Kansas. All areas will have very high fire danger conditions so outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
