Strong northwest wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph are likely today with some gusts approaching 60 mph for parts of central Kansas. Make sure to take in or secure any loose outdoor items or Christmas decorations. Dangerous fire conditions will also be in place with outdoor burning highly discouraged.
