Seasonal Temperatures Today, Showers and Thunderstorms Possible Friday Night

Seasonal temperatures are expected today in the upper 50’s to lower 60’s. A strong cold front will push south in the afternoon with temperatures turning colder for tonight.

Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms will be possible across southeast Kansas Friday evening through Friday night, with the best chance east of the Kansas Turnpike. A few strong storms may occur with pea to dime size hail the main concern. Severe storms are not expected.

Today – Sunny, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a northwest wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.

Tonight – Mostly clear, with a low around 23. North wind 9 to 14 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Friday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. Light south southwest wind becoming south southeast 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Friday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. South wind 9 to 11 mph.

Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. South wind 11 to 15 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

Sunday – Sunny, with a high near 57.

Sunday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Monday – Sunny, with a high near 60.

Monday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 36.
