Snow is forecast to develop in western Kansas this afternoon and spread into central Kansas this evening. Amounts from a trace to half inch are expected around Great Bend, Russell with very isolated amounts around an inch possible. The higher totals are expected from north of Concordia to around Hays.

Tonight – Rain and snow showers, mainly before 4 a.m. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 33. Breezy, with a north wind 16 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Wednesday – Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 51. Northwest wind 12 to 17 mph becoming west southwest 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.
