Salina Police are looking for a car thief after a Honda Accord was stolen from a south Salina convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Police say someone got into the vehicle that was left running in the parking lot at Kwik Shop, 305 W. Schilling. just after 3 a.m., and drove away.

The owner, Adrian Richardson, 29, of Salina, told officers he had allowed a friend to borrow the maroon, 1997 Accord and they apparently left it running outside and walked into the store. The car was gone when his friend walked back out.

The vehicle, valued at $1,500, has a black hood, white “Rockville” sticker on the passenger side, and Kansas license plate 944 NXX.
