Millions of people in the United States have suffered from stroke. During National Stroke Awareness Month in May we take a moment to discuss this time-critical diagnosis with Jeremiah Ostmeyer, MD, Emergency Room physician and medical director for the stroke program at Salina Regional Health Center.

The difference between a full recovery from stroke and permanent disability, often depends on how quickly symptoms are recognized and treatment is provided.

Salina Regional Health Center has been validated as a Primary Stroke Center since 2017 as part of the organization's efforts to enhance stroke care in the region.

The PULSE is sponsored by Salina Regional Health Center and airs every Monday at 12:30pm on KSN as a part of Good Day Kansas.

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
