Salina Symphony performed its first live concert in over a year, last Sunday.

Thanks to COVID-19 restrictions, Symphony supporters have grown accustomed to viewing concerts online, once a month. These performances have been called Chamber Concerts.

While these performances are every bit as beautiful and the music is played by fabulous musicians, there is no substitute for witnessing a live concert.

The Symphony performed in the courtyard of the Homewood Suites by Hilton, in Downtown Salina. The orchestra was under the direction of Dr David Littrell.

To accompany the number of guests for the evening, two identical concerts were held within hours of each other.

The 4pm concert was sold out, while the 7pm concert has very few seats remaining.

The Symphony will be performing in this style once again, on May 16 and May 20. The performance is called Spring Outdoor Brass Quintet & Jazz Combo Concert. Identical concert times are at 7pm on each evening, once again in the courtyard of the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Downtown Salina.

Tickets are $30, and can be purchased through the Salina Symphony phone number, 1-785-823-8309.
