Central Kansas Mental Health Center held a rummage and bake sale last week.

Items were donated, some in brand new condition with price tags still attached, and then sold to buyers at a donated prices.

A bake sale was also underway. Cookies, lemonade, and coffee were available for a set price.

All proceeds went directly to the Transitional Age Program. The support helped young adults with:

– Interview attire & work clothing
– Bus passes to get to/from work
– Self-care and personal hygiene items
– Basic home necessity items for their
first rental apartment or home

What is the Transitional Age Program?

The goal is to support those transitioning into adulthood (age 16-25) by teaching and reinforcing independent living skills, and to provide them with the tools they need to be successful in the community and their educational & professional careers.

CKMHC is located at 800 Elmhurst Blvd.
