If the past 15 months could be summed up in one word, it would be:

Luckily, SalinaSync has learned directly from KKOA organizer, DaVona, that Leadsled Spectacular is definitely going to happen this year.

The dates for this year’s festivities are July 22-25. The Thursday-Friday lineup will include what we’re accustomed to, plus a lot more. It includes:

• Hundreds of classic cars, trucks, bikes and more descending on Salina for what turns into a week of feeling like you’ve been transported back to 1969.

• Exciting drag races happening at at East Crawford Recreation Area on Friday night

• The popular Downtown parade, where Classic vehicles are invited to show off their stuff to hundreds of spectators lining Santa Fe. As a side note, this will be the first KKOA Classic car parade on the newly renovated Santa Fe streetscape.

• 4 days of Classic vehicles from 1969 and older filling up Oakdale Park.

• Celebrities will attend the event, as in years past. However, DaVona was not ready to disclose who might be attending this year. She and Jerry are still awaiting confirmation.

• The Stiefel Theatre will be home to One Night With Elvis. While this normally occurs on Saturday, this year it will be on Friday.

More on what we can expect, as well as up-to-date information, can be found at KKOA website.
