Theft of Donkeys is Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week

SALINE COUNTY – The theft of two donkeys from a rural Saline County property is the focus of this week’s Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, unknown person(s) forced entry into a pasture through a secured gate in the 2300 block of West Farrelly Road and removed two brown donkeys sometime between March 25 and March 26.

One donkey was a female that was approximately two weeks old and weighed approximately 50 pounds. The other donkey was a male that was approximately four weeks old and weighed approximately 50 pounds. Both donkeys were two to three feet tall and neither had been weaned yet.

Total estimated loss is $200.
