Several Area High Schools Still Alive in State Football Playoffs

Several area high schools, including four from Saline County, will continue their football seasons this week when the regional round of the playoffs kicks off. Salina Central, Sacred Heart, Southeast of Saline and Ell-Saline all advanced with first round wins last week.

Here’s a look at this week’s area regional playoff matchups:

CLASS 5A:
Salina Central (7-2) at Bishop Carroll (7-2) – Friday Nov. 2, 7 p.m.

CLASS 4A:
Ulysses (4-4) at McPherson (9-0) – Friday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.

CLASS 3A:
Hesston (6-3) at Smoky Valley (9-0) – Friday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.
Chapman (7-2) at Andale (9-0) – Friday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.
Beloit (6-3) at Scott Community (9-0) – Friday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.

CLASS 2A:
Southeast of Saline (8-1) at Riley County (7-2) – Friday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.

CLASS 1A:
Hillsboro (7-2) at St. Mary’s Colgan (7-2) – Friday, Nov. 2, 6 p.m.
Sacred Heart (4-5) at Smith Center (8-1) – Friday, Nov. 2, 6 p.m.
Ell-Saline (7-2) at Plainville (7-2) – Friday, Nov. 2, 6 p.m.
