A mixture of snow and sleet will affect central Kansas through the night. Accumulations up to 2″ will be possible by daybreak for some locations. Meanwhile periods of showers and thunderstorms will affect southern Kansas. Strong or severe weather is not expected, however a few storms could produce pea size hail at times.
Tonight – Snow, possibly mixed with rain and sleet, becoming all snow after 2 a.m.. Low around 30. Blustery, with a north wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday – Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 52. North wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
Friday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 32. West wind 6 to 9 mph becoming south in the evening.
