There is a chance for thunderstorms this afternoon as well, some of which could be severe across portions of central and southeast Kansas. However, a better chance for showers and a few thunderstorms will occur across central Kansas this evening and tonight.
This Afternoon – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. South southeast wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Tonight – A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Windy, with a northwest wind 25 to 30 mph increasing to 31 to 36 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Wednesday – A 20 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 79. Breezy, with a northwest wind 22 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
Wednesday Night – Clear, with a low around 56. Northwest wind 12 to 17 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.
