Areas of Central and South Central Kansas will see scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of this activity is likely to be severe, will occur this afternoon and evening. Hail up to 2-2.5 inches, winds up to 75 mph and very heavy rain will be possible. A brief tornado can’t be ruled out. By the evening, the shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to move in to Southeast Kansas. Severe weather in this area is expected to see isolated severe thunderstorms. Very heavy rain will also become a significant threat through much of the evening.
