Salina Police, Crime Stoppers Asking Public’s Help to Identify Suspect in Recent Theft from Walmart

SALINA – Salina Police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a recent theft from a local retail store.

According to a media release, a man was inside Walmart, 2900 S. 9th, between 7:30 and 7:55 a.m. on June 30, and damaged display brackets in the electronics department and took two Samsung Cell phones.

The total loss of the theft and damage was valued at $2,194. The Salina Police Department was advised that this person may be involved in similar events at other Kansas Walmart Stores, including Great Bend, Hays, and McPherson.

The suspect was a heavy set black male, wearing a white t-shirt, a black hat, and had a mask around his neck. He appeared to have a beard and glasses. After the theft, the man entered a maroon Ford Flex and fled in an unknown direction on Interstate 135.
