KBI Issues Statement on AMBER Alert Review

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation earlier this week issued a statement regarding the review of the Kansas AMBER Alert program. The Kansas AMBER Alert program, coordinated by the KBI, is a vitally important tool to aid in the safe return of abducted children. The KBI recognizes that the program must operate with the greatest efficiency possible. Since the program’s launch in 2002, 35 AMBER alerts have been issued. Salina Veteran Takes Trip of a Lifetime

Bill Pericotti just took the trip of a lifetime. A trip that he would gladly do over again. Bill is a Vietnam Veteran. He served his country for 21 years. In 2014, he discovered Cans for Veterans, Kansas Honor Flights. Cans for Veterans is an organization, that seeks to give all war Veterans the chance to travel to our nation’s capital, Washington DC. Road Work Closes Portion of County Road

A section of a Saline County has been closed to allow for a road work project. Donmyer Road from Country Club Road to the Smoky Hill River bridge was closed to through traffic Tuesday morning to permit a Saline County Road and Bridge Department crew to place earth wedges along each edge of the pavement. Section of County Road to Close for Project

A section of a Saline County road will be closed next week for a road work project. Powers Road from Kirtland Road to Armstrong Road will be closed Monday, November 14th for the replacement of an existing drainage structure with a new reinforced concrete box (RCB) drainage structure. The structure is located 0.5 mile north of Armstrong Road. The work at this site is anticipated to be completed by the end of December.
