SALINA – The Salina Fire Department has made a request to local businesses that are closed or will be closing temporarily due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Department issued a statement Thursday after their Prevention Division discovered a local business that was boarded up.
“We would like to get a message out to any business that may need to temporarily close during this crisis, to reach out to the Salina Fire Department so that arrangements can be made to ensure our ability to access the property if a fire alarm, sprinkler system activation or actual fire emergency occurs,” the Department said in a social media statement. “If we’re not able to make entry quickly, damage from water flow, fires, and forcible entry, will be greater. Please reach out to us so we can make arrangements and help you best protect your property.”
Anyone with questions regarding this can contact the Salina Fire Department at 785-826-7340.
