Numerous flood warnings are in effect across The Salina Scoop coverage area. All warnings in effect as of 10 p.m. Wednesday are listed below:

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Never drive into flooded areas or go around barricades, especially at
night! It takes only two feet of water to carry away most vehicles.
Turn around. Don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Mulberry Creek Near Salina.
* Until Thursday afternoon.
* At 9:46 PM Wednesday the stage was 26.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  early Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet...Widespread agricultural flooding can be
  expected.

  Smoky Hill River At Lindsborg affecting McPherson County.

  Smoky Hill River Near Mentor affecting McPherson and Saline
  Counties.

  Smoky Hill River near New Cambria affecting Saline County.

  The Smoky Hill River Near Mentor.
* From this evening until late Thursday night.
* At 9:15 PM Wednesday the stage was 19.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
  to near 21.1 feet by Thursday morning. The river will fall below
  flood stage by Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet...The lower portions of ball fields and bike
  trail at Burke Park in Salina floods along with soccer fields near
  the river south of Magnolia Road.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 23.5 feet by
  early Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage early
  Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...At 24.5 feet...The Old Mill Campgrounds are covered by 3 to
  4 feet of flood waters.

* Until late Friday night.
* At 8:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 26.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
  to near 30.4 feet by Thursday evening. The river will fall below
  flood stage by early Friday afternoon.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet...Niles Road south of Stimmel Road near the
  gage site begins to flood. Also expect extensive flooding of
  low-lying areas and bottom lands. Within the city these roads
  become flooded, Rail Road Ave and Mill Street, First Street and
  Second Street and Cunningham.

* Until late Sunday night.
* At 6:55 PM Wednesday the stage was 22.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 22.8 feet by
  early Thursday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
  Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet...The North 250th Road by the Salt Creek
  Bridge will have water over the road in the section about 1/2 block
  north of the bridge where the road bends.

* At 8:46 PM Wednesday the stage was 18.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 19.5 feet by
  Thursday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday
  morning.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet...The few residentail homes along Highway 14
  just south of Avenue O may take on 2 ft of water. Some low spots on
  Highway 14 may become flooded.

* Until 1000 PM CDT Thursday.

* At 1001 AM CDT, emergency management and local law enforcement
  officials reported numerous roads experiencing flooding, this was
  due to high water from the past couple of days of excessive
  rainfall.

* Flooding will continue in the warned area and you are urged to
  take flooding precautions. This means DO NOT drive around
  barricades and TURN AROUND DON`T DROWN.

water can wash a car from the roadway. Also, the roadbed may be
washed out under the water.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to
  rise to near 27.9 feet by Friday evening.The river will fall below
  flood stage by Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet...Minor flooding begins along the Smoky Hill
  River from Sand Spring to Abilene.

* At 8:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 24.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Thursday morning and
  continue to rise to near 25.5 feet by Thursday morning.The river
  will fall below flood stage by late Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet...Low lying areas near the river flood.

  The Solomon River at Minneapolis.

* At 8:15 PM Wednesday the stage was 24.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Thursday morning and
  continue to rise to near 26.2 feet by early Thursday morning.The
  river will fall below flood stage by early Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet...The river just west of the Highway 106
  bridge floods.

* At 8:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 27.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 30.3 feet by
  Saturday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday
  morning.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet...Kansas Highway 43 just north of the river
  floods.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 27.9 feet by
  Thursday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Friday
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet...Arrowhead Road west of Niles floods.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Salt Creek near Ada.

* At 9:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 18.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 19.0 feet by
  early Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage early
  Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 19.8 feet...Deck of 50th Road bridge over the Salt Creek
  floods.

* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Lowland flooding occurs from near the town
  of Industry upstream from Chapman to the Smoky Hill River
  downstream from Chapman.

  early Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage
  Friday early afternoon.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Flooding occurs between 16th, 17th, and 18th
  Roads and between Limestone and Osage Roads.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Lowland agricultural flooding occurs from
  U.S. Highway 24 to Milford Lake.
