This commission is a semi-autonomous subdivision of local government that has been delegated powers by the City that operates federally funded programs. The programs involved are: Section 8 Rental Assistance Voucher and Certificate Program; Low-Rent Public Housing Program; and the Shelter Plus Program. The commission consists of five adult members who reside… within the city limits and a City Commission liaison. Members meet the fourth Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the Housing Authority office, 469 S. 5th Street. Individuals who are interested in applying for this board should do so by August 9.
