TOPEKA – The Kansas Highway Patrol has released the results from special enforcements conducted in the month of March.
Throughout the month of March, the Kansas Highway Patrol worked numerous special enforcements related to traffic safety issues, including speeding, seat belts, and DUI. These enforcements were in addition to the work our personnel conduct on a regular basis on Kansas’ roads.
During these special enforcement, troopers made 15 DUI arrests and issued 349 citations.
“The last few years, we have added an additional component to our enforcement efforts,” said KHP Superintendent, Colonel Mark Bruce. “Specifically, local troop commanders have been asked to identify known areas where aggressive enforcement efforts may prove beneficial.”
The special enforcement results are as follows:
|March 2018||2018 Calendar Year||March 2017|
|Seatbelt Citations-Teen (14-17 yrs)||4||4||1|
|Child Restraint Citations (0-13 yrs)||4||12||10|
