KDHE Confirms 18 Kansas Coronavirus Cases

TOPEKA – According to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and updates from Kansas counties on Tuesday afternoon, there are now 18 positive COVID-19 tests confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state as of March 17.

  • Butler County: 1
  • Douglas County: 1
  • Ford County: 1*
  • Franklin County: 1
  • Johnson County: 10
  • Wyandotte County: 4

*The Ford County case involves someone who is not a resident of Kansas, so it is not counted in the state’s official tally.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, there were 4,226 cases of COVID-19 and 75 deaths in the U.S. as of March 17. The total will be updated again at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, there are more than 5,853 positive cases of COVID-19, with 97 deaths reported, as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.
