Heavy Rainfall Possible Sunday Night Through Monday Across the Area

The risk for locally heavy rainfall will increase late in the Memorial holiday weekend, especially Sunday night through Monday. This may lead to lowland and river flooding across portions of central and southern Kansas.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 56. West wind 5 to 11 mph.

Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast 8 to 13 mph in the morning.

Saturday Night – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South southeast wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Sunday – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. South wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Sunday Night – Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 63. South wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Memorial Day – Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 72. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Monday Night – Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 59. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tuesday – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74.

Tuesday Night – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.
