OTTAWA COUNTY – A Delphos woman was injured in an Ottawa County crash Monday evening involving two vehicles.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jonathan M. Hume, 31, Gaylord, was on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 81 near Aspen Road, about 10 miles north of Salina, when he began pulling out into the northbound lanes.
At the same time, a 2009 Buick Lucerne driven by Judi L. Allison, 48, Delphos, was traveling northbound and approaching from behind, when she swerved to miss the Impala, and struck the bridge railing. The Buick then came to rest in the northbound lanes.
Allison was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of minor injuries. Hume, and a passenger in his vehicle, were not injured.
All three were properly restrained at the time of the crash, which occurred just before 9 p.m., according to the KHP.
