Warmer Temperatures Thursday, Late Season Wintry Mix Friday

Warmer temperatures are expected on Thursday as breezy south to southwest winds return to the region. Highs will mainly be in the upper 60’s to near 70.

A late season wintry mix will be possible for Friday afternoon and Friday evening. Most of the precipitation will be light accumulating snow in central Kansas, with a wintry mix of rain, sleet and light snow possible across southern Kansas. Light snow accumulations less than an inch are possible across central Kansas.

  • Tonight – Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
  • Thursday – Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 68. South southwest wind 9 to 11 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon.
  • Thursday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Northeast wind 8 to 10 mph.
  • Friday – Rain likely before 2 p.m., then rain and snow likely between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., then snow likely after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Breezy, with a northeast wind 13 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Friday Night – A 20 percent chance of snow before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. North wind 7 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
  • Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 40.
  • Saturday Night – A 30 percent chance of snow after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.
  • Sunday – A slight chance of rain and snow before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
