Unsettled Weather Expected Thursday

Clusters of thunderstorms will develop across the region this evening and overnight. A few strong to marginally severe storms will be possible, with locally heavy rainfall and localized flooding.

Scattered thunderstorms will affect the region Thursday. Isolated severe weather is possible in southeast Kansas, with hail of quarter to golf ball size.

  • Tonight – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between midnight and 4 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 58. North northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Thursday – A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 66. North northeast wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Thursday Night – A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m., then isolated showers between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 47. North northwest wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Friday – Sunny, with a high near 73. North northeast wind 6 to 8 mph.
  • Friday Night – Clear, with a low around 48. East northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south after midnight.
  • Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 79.
  • Saturday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 60.
  • Sunday – Sunny, with a high near 87.
  • Sunday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 65.
