Two Men Hospitalized After Semi Rollover in Marion County

MARION COUNTY – Two men were hospitalized after the semi they were traveling in rolled over in Marion County Tuesday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Dale Dalton, 58, Maysville, Kent., was driving a 2009 Kenworth semi three miles east of Marion on the US-56/US-150/US-77 roundabout, when load of cattle in the semi’s trailer shifted, causing the truck to tip over onto its side.

Dalton and a passenger, John F. Ball, 74, Flemingsburg, Kent., were both taken to St. Luke Hospital in Marion for treatment of possible injuries.

It was not known if either man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 10:40 a.m.
