The Kansas Highway Patrol said Alva G. Eisenman, 69, of Athens, Georgia, was driving a 2016 Chrysler westbound on Interstate 70 near mile marker 286, just west of Chapman, when she drove off the road into the north ditch and up an embankment through a fence. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels in a pasture.
The accident happened at about 5:12 p.m.
Eisenman, and a passenger, Athena J. Eisenman, 69, of Athens, Georgia, were both taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, according to the Highway Patrol.
