Snowfall Expected Late Tonight Through Tuesday Evening

A storm system will spread areas of light snow across the region late tonight through Tuesday evening. Accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts, are possible across generally the northern half of Kansas. Meanwhile, snow accumulations across the southern half of Kansas will be much less, generally under one-half to one inch. Additionally, cannot rule out patchy light freezing drizzle Tuesday late afternoon and evening across the eastern half of Kansas, but any ice accumulations will remain very light.

  • Tonight – A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 5 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 13. North wind 9 to 15 mph.
  • Tuesday – Snow likely, mainly before 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 20. East northeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Tuesday Night – A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 10. East northeast wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.
  • Wednesday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 34. North northwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
  • Wednesday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Light south southeast wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the evening.
  • Thursday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.
  • Thursday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.
  • Friday – Partly sunny, with a high near 37.
  • Friday Night – A 30 percent chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18.
