Semi Driver Injured in Sunday Crash in Ellsworth County

A Bluffton, South Carolina man was injured Sunday afternoon after a crash on Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, James R. Cervi, 74, was driving a 2012 Kenworth Semi westbound on Interstate 70 about 9 miles east of Wilson near mile marker 215 just after 1:00 p.m., when it veered to the left lane into the median, striking the guard rail.

The semi then crossed the eastbound lane and came to a stop across both lanes.

Cervi was transported to the Ellsworth County Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Highway Patrol.
