Salina Woman Intentionally Crashes Into City Pump Station

A Salina woman was injured Wednesday after she purposefully crashed her vehicle.

Police say Holly Hickman, 31, was arguing with her boyfriend at about 9:30 p.m., when she became angry and drove off in her 2007 Ford Edge. Hickman’s boyfriend told police that she intentionally crashed the vehicle into the well building at the City pump station, 209 S. 2nd.

Hickman was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash. Police have not been able to determine her exact speed when she collided with the brick structure.

Hickman was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of her injuries, the extent of which were not immediately available.

Damage to the pump station has been estimated at about $9,000.

Hickman will likely face felony damage to property charges, according to police.
