SALINA – The Salina Central High School ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Monday, March 12 at 5 p.m.
Guests will hear Central students in Free Spirit perform the school’s Alma Mater and band students perform their fight song. Culinary arts, broadcast and robotics students will be demonstrating their skills. The new 22,000-square-foot centrally-located media center will be open and the Central Perk will be serving free coffee.
Student-led tours will be available and guests are welcome to explore on their own.
The community is invited to see new learning spaces plus more at Central High School thanks to the 2014 Bond. Controlled entryways, a new storm shelter/auxiliary gym and locker rooms, remodeled classrooms, CTE, fine arts and performing arts areas are improved and updated.
The $26.2 million expansion and renovation began at Salina Central in November 2015.
