PepperJax Grill will open at Salina Square later this year.
Megan Prejzner, Communications Manager for the Omaha-based restaurant chain, tells The Salina Scoop the company is currently planning on a late spring-early summer opening. “Probably sometime in June,” she said.
PepperJax specializes in made-to-order Philly steak sandwiches, as well as gourmet rice bowls, giant burritos, loaded nachos, and fresh salads.
According to Prejzner, the company will host a grand opening celebration. “We’ll do something big for the community,” she said.
PepperJax currently has other Kansas locations in Wichita, Manhattan, Topeka, and Lawrence as well as several in the Kansas City area.
The new restaurant is the latest business to open in the new Salina Square, 3015 S. 9th, which is now home to Five Guys, Sleep Number, and Sport Clips.
Along with PepperJax, T-Mobile will also open a store in there in the near future. According to Saline County records, a building permit was issued on February 13th to T-Mobile for a tenant finish at that location.
