Much Cooler Temperatures Expected Friday

Colder air will continue to filter south across the area in the wake of the cold front. Highs on Friday will struggle to reach 40 across much of northeast Kansas.

  • Friday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. North wind 13 to 18 mph becoming east northeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
  • Friday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. South southeast wind 7 to 10 mph.
  • Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 56. South southwest wind 9 to 17 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.
  • Saturday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 33. Northwest wind 7 to 14 mph becoming southeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
  • Sunday – Sunny, with a high near 66. Breezy.
  • Sunday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.
  • Washington’s Birthday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 50.
  • Monday Night – A 20 percent chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18.
  • Tuesday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 33.
