Mild and Breezy Again Tuesday

Another mild and breezy day is expected on Tuesday, with forecast high temperatures in the 60’s. Clouds and rain chances will be on the increase during the afternoon, especially along and east of the Kansas Turnpike.

Off-and-on areas of rain, drizzle and perhaps a few thunderstorms will impact mainly eastern Kansas Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening and night. Widespread heavy rainfall is not expected.

  • Tonight – Clear, with a low around 41. South wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
  • Tuesday – A 20 percent chance of rain after 5 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
  • Tuesday Night – A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, then a chance of drizzle after 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. South wind 6 to 13 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Wednesday – Patchy drizzle. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. North wind 7 to 13 mph.
  • Wednesday Night – Patchy drizzle before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
  • Thursday – Sunny, with a high near 53.
  • Thursday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 28.
  • Friday – Sunny, with a high near 60.
  • Friday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 37.
  • Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 63.
  • Saturday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.
  • Sunday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 58.
  • Sunday Night – A chance of rain and snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
