McPherson Man Killed in Two Vehicle Crash on I-135

MCPHERSON COUNTY – A McPherson man died late Saturday night in a two vehicle crash on Interstate 135.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Tyler Loyd Loomis, 25, was traveling northbound on I-135, three miles northeast of Moundridge, in a 2004 Ford F-150, when for an unknown reason, he left the roadway, went through the median, and crossed into the path of a southbound 2016 Peterbilt semi driven by Alan Henry Feicht, 57, Sioux Falls, SD. The semi struck a guardrail after the collision.

Loomis was pronounced dead at the scene. Feicht had possible injuries, but it is not known if he was transported for treatment.

Feicht was properly restrained at the time of the crash, while Loomis was not, according to the Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m.
