Man Arrested After Allegedly Striking Neighbor With Baseball Bat

George Wagner

A Salina man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly striking a neighbor in the face with a baseball bat.

Salina Police say Latishia Ford, 29, and Nicholas Albany 38, were sitting near their front porch in the 400 block of Baker at about 7 p.m. when George Wagner, 39, came out of his home with what appeared to be a black handgun. Wagner allegedly made a verbal threat to Ford and then went back inside his home.

Albany then went to Wagner’s home to confront him. When Wagner answered the door, he was swinging a metal baseball bat and allegedly struck Albany in the face. Albany refused medical treatment at the scene.

Wagner was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of aggravated battery and two counts of aggravated assault.

Two metal baseball bats and a black BB gun were found inside Wagner’s residence, according to police.
