Light Snow Expected Through This Afternoon, Much Colder Today

Light snow will expand in coverage across the Flint Hills and into southeast Kansas this afternoon. Falling and blowing snow may reduce visibilities below a mile at times. Accumulations at most locations will range from a trace to three quarters of an inch, with isolated one inch totals possible.

It will be much colder today as polar air surges into the area. A band of light snow will spread southeast across the region with amounts ranging from a light dusting to less than an inch.
