Hit or Miss Showers Possible Through Thursday, Warmer Temperatures Return Friday

Expect clouds over south central and southeast Kansas today with increasing clouds in Central Kansas as well by this afternoon. Chances for light rain across the area increase overnight tonight and into Thursday morning. Skies should begin clearing again by Thursday afternoon as rain chances diminish.

Near normal afternoon high temperatures will return on Friday with partly sunny skies across the area.

  • Tonight – A 20 percent chance of rain after 9 p.m. Patchy fog before 1 a.m., then patchy fog after 2 am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Light and variable wind becoming. north 5 to 9 mph in the evening.
  • Thursday – A 20 percent chance of rain before 1 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 53. North wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Thursday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.
  • Friday – Sunny, with a high near 64. West southwest wind 5 to 11 mph.
  • Friday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. South wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
