Flood Warning Updates for Saline County

SALINE COUNTY – A flood warning continues for Mulberry Creek near Salina until Wednesday, October 10.

  • Flood stage is 24 feet
  • MINOR flooding is forecast – with a rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to rise near 24.7 feet.
  • At 24 feet, agricultural flooding can be expected

A flood warning continues for the Smoky Hill River at New Cambria until Wednesday, October 10.

  • Flood stage is 27 feet
  • MINOR flooding is forecast – with a rise above flood stage near 28.6 feet by tonight and into Wednesday afternoon.
  • At 29.5 feet, there is a possibility of water covering Rail Road, Mill Street, Cunningham Rd, First Street and Second Street near New Cambria.

At this time, KDOT has closed K-140 Hwy at Wyman Road near Brookville for water over the roadway. The City of Salina and Saline Count are continuing to evaluate conditions; but have not closed any roadways as of yet.
