SALINE COUNTY – Officials with the United States Geological Survey say a small earthquake occurred in Saline County at about 3:25 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the USGS website, earthquakes.usgs.gov, the tremor registered a magnitude 2.5 on the Richter Scale. The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 12 miles south-southeast of Salina near the intersection of Cunningham Road and Assaria Road.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with the earthquake.
This earthquake is the 27th tremor to occur in the state of Kansas since September 26th, according to the USGS.
An earthquake of the same magnitude was centered near the same location in September 2016.
