Dry and Mild Today, Warmer on Thursday, Warm and Windy Friday

High temperatures today will range from the upper 50’s to the mid-60’s across central and eastern Kansas.

High temperatures will climb into the lower 70’s on Thursday across central and eastern Kansas. Gusty south winds in the afternoon east of the turnpike will result in very high grassland fire danger.

Windy and warm conditions will prevail across central and eastern Kansas on Friday. Very high grassland fire danger is anticipated in the afternoon, especially across central Kansas. There will also be a chance for showers and storms across north central and eastern Kansas.

  • Friday – Partly sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy, with a southeast wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
  • Friday Night – A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
