A downtown book store, which has been in business for over three decades, will close its doors in May.
The owner of The Book Nook, 147 S. 4th, announced the closure earlier this month. The business has been open since 1979.
The store’s owner says the business is unable to compete with today’s technology. The store has also been the victim of at least two burglaries in which a computer was stolen in each incident.
The store says the last day to bring in books will be May 1st. The last day to use store credit will be May 13th and the last day for business will be May 20th.
