Cold Front to Move Across the Area Friday

Another cool down is on the way on Friday as a cold front makes its way across the area. High temperatures will range from the upper 20’s in central Kansas to the mid 50’s in southeast Kansas. Expect increasing clouds throughout the day behind the front from northwest to southeast.

  • Tonight – Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
  • Friday – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. North wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
  • Friday Night – A 30 percent chance of snow after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 12. Wind chill values as low as -1. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
  • Saturday – A 50 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -2. North wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
