Asphalt Surfacing Work To Begin on K-156 in Ellsworth County

On Monday, May 22nd, work will begin on a mill and overlay project on a portion of K-156 in Ellsworth County.

The project begins at the K-156/K-140 Junction at Ellsworth then north to the K-156/I-70 Junction. Initial work will involve milling along the route followed by the overlay of asphalt. Length of project is 10.7 miles for a cost of $2.3 million and is being constructed by Shilling Construction of Manhattan.

Estimated completion will be the end of August, weather permitting.

Traffic within the work zone will be controlled by pilot car and flaggers during daylight hours only.
